The Lake Tahoe Area

The wedding will take place in an area called Tahoe Donner, in Truckee, CA. It is just north of the lake (click on the map to enlarge). Reno, NV is the closest and most convenient airport to the Tahoe area, though you could also fly into Sacramento (about a 2 hour drive) or San Francisco (4 hours). Reno is about 30-45 minutes from Truckee.

Things to do on your Tahoe vacation

Tahoe is an outdoorsmans/womens paradise. Below are some suggested activities:

• Hiking though the many national parks in the Sierra Nevadas
• Lake Tahoe or Donner Lake: rent speed boats, paddle boats, jet skis, water ski, canoes. There are also beaches or you can admire from one of the many restaurants surrounding Lake Tahoe
• Fishing

• Horseback riding
• Parasailing
