What: Short ceremony followed by a reception and a sit-down dinner. Don't forget your dancing shoes!
There is plenty of parking at the Lodge but we will also update with other forms of transportation.
The wedding will be adults only. We will update with reputable Truckee babysitting services shortly.
Lodging
Tahoe is a popular place in August and lodging books up quickly. We recommend you book something as soon as possible. Options for lodging include local hotels and home rentals. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions; we know the area very well and can help you find the right place to sleep.

Many of these homes are large and can accomadate a number of people, so a $300+ a night pricetag split by 8 people is a great deal! If you are a smaller group interested in renting a cabin and would like to find cabin buddies, give a shout and we'll connect you with people.

The Lake Tahoe Area
The wedding will take place in an area called Tahoe Donner, in Truckee, CA. It is just north of the lake (click on the map to enlarge). Reno, NV is the closest and most convenient airport to the Tahoe area, though you could also fly into Sacramento (about a 2 hour drive) or San Francisco (4 hours). Reno is about 30-45 minutes from Truckee.
Things to do on your Tahoe vacation
Tahoe is an outdoorsmans/womens paradise. Below are some suggested activities:
- Hiking though the many national parks in the Sierra Nevadas
- Lake Tahoe or Donner Lake: rent speed boats, paddle boats, jet skis, water ski, canoes. There are also beaches or you can admire from one of the many restaurants surrounding Lake Tahoe
- Fishing
